Art Round-Up

Let’s take a look at what our pupils have been getting up to in Art recently!

Year 6 have been doing animal monoprints, a study of artist Brianna McCarthy inspired portraits and the seal drawings. They have been looking at endangered animals in the arctic and learning to use the gridding method to produce excellent observational drawings with shading of the seals.

Year 3 are currently working on the lizard eye watercolours, focusing on mixing appropriate tones and layering with watercolour. They have also made prints of different animal skins, which are very colourful and funky.

Meanwhile Year 4 have been trying their hand at some Viking artwork.

Clearly we have some very talented artists at Old Hall!
