Drama – End of Term Report

Another busy term for the Drama department began three weeks into term, with the Third Form’s performance of a selection of Greek myths. Yet again we were amazed at how quickly these young actors and their directors could create something of such a high quality in such a short space of time. Congratulations to Bayley and their team of Lower Sixth directors, for winning the prize for best performance with their highly entertaining rendition of Theseus and the Minotaur.

In more recent events, Monday night saw a packed Centenary Theatre for this year’s First Form Quarter Play: ‘Charlie and the Chocolate Factory’. The Lower Sixth directors who took on this challenge did a fantastic job of staging a creative, lively and energetic performance of this much-loved classic story. Congratulations to Boscobel for winning Best Quarter, Davenport for Best Direction, and Emily, Erin, Eliza, Lucy and Avi for best performances.

We are very excited about next term’s much-anticipated production of ‘Sister Act’. The cast and crew have been working so hard this term and are raring to go! Book your tickets before they sell out!
