Great North Big Band Jazz Festival

The Wrekin Jazz Band participated in the Great North Big Band Jazz Festival at Chester-le-Street, Sunderland, which sees bands enter from all over the country.

This was our first visit to the festival and the band achieved some fantastic results!

We won the following awards in the Schools category:

🎵 First Prize – Overall Winning Band

🎼 First Prize – Best Programme Award

🎷 Student, Toby, took the title of Outstanding Soloist
