House Music Competiton

What a wonderful way to end Lent term!

Every pupil in Upper and Lower School represented their House in the House Music Competition with a performance of a House Song. Each House also had recordings of their soloists to earn extra points for their House.

The theme this year was ABBA, chosen to celebrate the 50th anniversary of their win at the Eurovision Song Contest. The House songs were: Mamma Mia, Waterloo, Super Trouper and Take a Chance on Me.

The pupils had been rehearsing these songs during House meetings for weeks, and it was clear to see the hard work they have put in! The competition was of a really high standard and every House sounded wonderful, but adjudicator Mr Ciaran Yeo (Assistant Director of Music at Wrekin) had to make a difficult decision. After much deliberation, the winners were announced as Leighton Badgers, who won with ‘Mamma Mia’ by ABBA!

It was brilliant to see all pupils and staff getting involved and being committed to their House Song!
