Individual Sporting Achievements

Cross Country runner Chloe battled through very muddy and cold conditions to become County Champion for U15 Girls. Following on from Chloe’s success at the County Championships, she ran in the Midlands Cross Country Championships. In the competition, 76 U15 girls from athletic clubs all over the Midlands raced over a tough course, with Chloe taking a fantastic third place (she was even interviewed by Athletics Weekly!).

Lottie became West Midlands BYC Epee Champion after winning 15 -12 at Packwood on Sunday. Lottie goes on to the National Finals which will be held in Sheffield in May. Well done Lottie, and we wish you the best of luck in the National Finals!

Second Form pupil Harry represented Wrekin in the British Shooting Schools Championship National Finals this morning. This was Harry’s first major national shooting competition, so he was delighted to win fifth place in his discipline – 10M Rifle (Junior).

Wrekin swimmers made a splash at the Shropshire County Swimming Championships. Huge congratulations go to Callum, Finley, Charlie, Beth, Esmay and Sam on their amazing achievements in the county championships over the last three weekends. They won an incredible 64 medals between them at the championships. Meanwhile Charlie, Beth, Esmay and Sam all achieved Midlands District Qualifying Times. Congratulations to all six swimmers for an outstanding set of results! 👏
