Old Hall Book Swap

The English Department, Librarians, 6S and 4W would like to invite you to ‘The Old Hall Book Swap’ which will take place at the Summer Fete on Friday 26th May. This is a great opportunity for children to trade in a book that they have already read and pick out a new book that interests them! We would love your children to expand their reading selection and what better opportunity than to share their favourite books with their friends and vice versa?

From Tuesday 16th until Thursday 25th May, children may bring in a book and hand it to their form teacher. Your child will then be given a Book Swap Token which they will then bring along to the Summer Fete and hand in their token at the stall to choose a new book! The Librarians, 6S and 4W will be working very hard in the build up to our fete by placing the books into age categories which will help when your child chooses a new book. Also, we would love for parents to be involved! If you have any books that you no longer read, please send them in with your child and they will receive a book token for you to use on the day.

Any genre of book is welcome but we do ask that they are in a ‘gently used’ condition (no tears, trips or stains, please). We also ask that the children only bring a maximum of 3 books each to swap. We are extremely excited about this new stall to be a part of our Summer Fete and we can’t wait to see the wide range of books that the children select.

Kind Regards,

Mrs Williams
