Reception celebrate Diwali!

Reception have enjoyed celebrating Diwali this week!

They have made rangoli patterns together, a traditional part of Diwali celebrations. Creating the patterns was part of our ‘Maths Week’ challenge. They worked in teams with a set amount of shapes to create their patterns.

Earlier in the week Year 1 also marked Diwali!

They enjoyed learning more about Diwali today from their friends who celebrated at the weekend. They tidied the classroom and thought about what they could do to ‘turn over a new leaf’.
