Sport Report

Our pupils have got stuck into sport during the first two weeks of term.

The Netball season has started well with girls training hard in their sessions in preparation for their first matches. The Under 11s played Prestfelde; all three games were closely fought and the Old Hall team performed fantastically across the board. Unfortunately, the Under 9 matches against Prestfelde were cancelled due to the frozen pitches, however they look forward to their matches next week at the Packwood Festival.

In Lower School, Years 1 and 2 have begun Tag Rugby, Netball and Gymnastics in their P.E. Lessons. In Gymnastics they have focused on different ways of travelling, shapes and balances.

In Upper School Year 5 have also begun Acro-gymnastics, looking at paired balances.

What a fantastic first few weeks of rugby! All the boys in Year 5 and 6 were selected to play in either contact rugby or tag rugby on Wednesday against Prestfelde. All four teams enjoyed great success with excellent rugby being played. The games were played in great spirit with good sportsmanship across the board.

On Thursday, all our Year 4 boys also played rugby against Prestfelde, with one team playing their first contact match. Once again, great determination and skills were shown and there were two very positive results with lots of tries being scored by Old Hall.
