In sport last week…

Hockey

On Wednesday, the girls Under 18B team beat Moreton Hall 4-2. The Lancaster Girls played a great block against Birchfield, winning 2 of the 3 games.

On Saturday there were six games in a block against Kings School Worcester. Wrekin won two, Drew one and lost three. The Highlight of the week goes to the girls Under 14, who won the Shropshire County Plate final to gain their first taste of silverware!

Football

On Wednesday there were five teams in action against Prestfelde. The pick of the matches was the Under 13A fixture, winning 10-0. Well done to all the players! 

The girls had their first match of the season. Although the game didn’t go their way, it was a good learning experience for all involved. 

Netball

The Under 14 team were unbeaten in the County Championships and now go forward to represent Shropshire at the Regional Finals.

The Under 16 had a really hard fought game against Solihull School’s 1st team. The Under 19 march on in the National Cup; with a convincing 50-29 win over Newcastle-under-Lyme School.

Jiu jitsu

Third Form pupil, Sydney recently won the UK National jiu jitsu championships. Sydney will also fight again in two weeks time, at the British Championships.
