Sports Report

Despite arctic weather conditions this week, sport continued to perform at Wrekin.

Shooting

Second Former Harry represented Wrekin College in the West Midlands Regional round of the British Shooting Schools Pistol and Rifle Championships. 

He won a silver medal in Junior 10M Sporter Rifle. His score gives him a National Ranking of 6th, so he has qualified to represent Wrekin College at the National Final in early February 

As a result of these competitions, and his overall progress, he has also been invited to compete in the British Open Airgun Championships in late February.

Hockey

The only Hockey fixtures to take place last week were the U18A and B teams against Wolverhampton Grammar and the U15s against Shrewsbury High School.

The U18A team won 5-1 in a well rounded team performance, and the B team were on the receiving end of the same scoreline. The U15s won 2-0 in very cold conditions, Alice, Mae and Lucy all having great games. 

Indoor Rowing

On Thursday, the House Rowing competition took place. Bayley won the boys competition and Roslyn the girls, congratulations to those involved for representing their houses!
