Before the Easter holidays, Year 5 pupil Lila was part of the Wrekin Harriers team who were crowned Cross Country Under 10 champions at Concord College. It’s great to see that Lila’s hard work and dedication is paying off.

Old Hall welcomed Prestfelde, Packwood, Shrewsbury High and WGS to our Under 8 High 5 Netball Festival. The Old Hall girls played in three teams and had a great afternoon of Netball. It was a great way to finish the season, and to see how much progress they have made with their Netball skills.

The Girls and Boys’ Under 11 Hockey teams competed in the Hockey Regional Finals at Rugby School. This was a result of both teams having qualified from the County Round of the competition earlier in the season. They faced some tough opposition, but learnt a great deal from the experience with some closely fought matches.

This term, Year 1 and 2 have started developing their Cricket skills in PE. The children are learning to bowl, bat, catch, and throw both underarm and overarm. They have begun very impressively, and we look forward to seeing their cricket skills progress this term.

The Under 11 and Under 9 Boys’ cricket teams have been in action against Oswestry to begin the season, whilst the Under 11 Girls cricket team have been developing their skills further in training ready for competitive matches to begin next week.

The Under 9 Girls Cricket started off their season with a close match against Oswestry School. Winning the toss, Old Hall fielded first and worked hard to gain runs to secure a win, a great way to start their season. In training the Under 11 Girls have continued to work on their batting and bowling skills as well as tactical play within a game.
