Rounders

Under 11 Girls vs Shrewsbury High Prep Rounders (A)

All of the Year 6 girls competed in a fantastic rounders fixture away at Shrewsbury High Prep on Wednesday 10th May. The girls were very excited to get their striking and fielding season off to a good start and they certainly did just that. The girls worked really well as a team and supported each other both in fielding and batting. There were some very impressive rounders scored and we were very proud of the girls’ team spirit. Both teams came away with winning results and thoroughly enjoyed the experience.

Cricket

Wednesday 10th May – Under 10 cricket vs Under 11 Birchfield (H)

Our Under 10 team played their first games of cricket on Wednesday when we invited Birchfield Under 11s over for a home game.

The girls were very excited to put their bowling and batting skills into action and I was very impressed with the progression of all pupils throughout the afternoon.

We displayed great communication in bat and field and narrowly missed out on a win.

Wednesday 17th May

For the second week in a row we were able to field all Year 5 and 6 girls in fixtures which was fantastic to see and I know it was enjoyed by all. We also included some of our Under 11 boys who displayed some great knowledge and ability throughout the afternoon.

We hosted Prestfelde and played three games of cricket. The pupils displayed some excellent fielding skills throughout the matches and our batting skills gained our teams lots of runs!

Well done to all that took part, what a fabulous afternoon we had with a win and two draws, great work!
