U14 Football Team Reach The Semi-Finals

We are very pleased to announce that our U14 football team won their National Cup Quarter Final match against Brook House College 5-3 on penalties!

122 schools from all across the country entered the U14 ESFA National Football Cup this year. Wrekin College have defied all the odds to make it to the Semi-Finals of the competition.  The U14s are now, officially, one of the top 4 “Small Schools” football teams in the country. 

Their journey in this national cup has been nothing short of extraordinary. Beating schools such as Repton, St Bede’s College in Manchester (a feeder school for Manchester City), and, Brooke House College. All eyes now turn towards who Wrekin College will be facing in the Semi Final. But regardless of what happens next, this group of boys have fought resolutely and against tremendous odds.

Well done boys! It was a thrilling game to watch!
