USEFUL INFO
Welcome To Old Hall
In choosing Old Hall, you choose to educate your child in a school which has at its core the aim of enabling every child and adult in its community to be the very best that they can be. You will have chosen education without boundaries or ceilings, where children can be children in a safe, non-judgemental and happy environment. Happiness and confidence are key elements of a successful education and we aim to engender these elements by carefully nurturing each individual child in our care.
Founded in 1845, Old Hall is the oldest prep school in Shropshire but it prides itself on being a progressive school, which also represents the traditions of everything that is best in education; a community committed to the belief that every child has talents which need to be identified and developed. Pupils are encouraged to develop a desire to learn, to think for themselves and to aim high in setting their own personal goals. Don’t just take our word for it; read our latest ISI Inspection report which found Old Hall to be ‘excellent‘ in all areas.

Joining in Years 3-6
It's never too late to realise what an Old Hall education can do for your child. If you would like your child to join in Years 3, 4, 5 or 6 just get in touch and we can help you. Your child will be invited in for a day where they will join with a current class and experience a day at Old Hall. During that day teachers will observe your child to help ensure that Old Hall is the right place for them, and that they will be able to thrive here. At the end of the day you will be invited to talk to our Head Mrs Karacan about how your child has got on, and next steps.

Step by Step Guide to Joining Us
The first step is to make contact; either drop us an email or give us a call. We can then talk you through the admissions process.
There is no substitute for visiting us. Enjoy a personalised tour on a working day, come to an Open Day, or both!
Your child will be invited to attend a 'Welcome Day' where they will spend time with their future classmates. Our teachers will quietly observe your child during the day and we will meet with you at the end to discuss how it went and to be sure that Old Hall is the right place for your child to thrive.
When you are ready, complete a Registration Form and pay your deposit to secure your place.
If you have any more questions about joining us, you are always welcome to return for another visit or speak to either our Head Mrs Karacan or our admissions team. An Open Day can be a great opportunity for familiarisation, or to show extended family around Old Hall.
You and your child will have a personal uniform appointment where you will be able to purchase everything you need from our onsite uniform shop. And then it's time for your child to enjoy their first day at Old Hall; the whole family has all just become members of the Old Hall family!

ISI reportWhat next? More about Wrekin.
It can feel daunting to be thinking about senior school, but it's never too early to be aware of your choices. We are lucky at Old Hall to belong to the same educational Trust and be on the same campus as Wrekin College, an independent co-educational day and boarding school for pupils from 11-18. Every year the majority of our children join Wrekin, a natural progression in every way. We share many facilities with Wrekin, but our children still feel the step up to 'big school' and once there will not only be with many of their friends, but meet many new children from lots of other schools who have joined Wrekin at the same time.
